OBJECTIVES

The Objective of the New Mount Zion Laymen Ministry is to work to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our Savior. This commission will be reached in a number of different ways.

1.     By supporting and helping the Pastor to fulfill his God-given vision and direction for the church.

2.     By participating in activities and events organized at the National, State, and District levels of the Laymen's Association.

3.     By coordinating activities at our own church designed to win the lost and build the saved.

4.     Explore outreach ministries.

5.     Develop a Junior Laymen department.

6.     Develop an active effort to encourage all men of New Mt. Zion to become involved in the Laymen's Ministry.

LAYMEN MEMBERSHIP

Who are the Laymen in New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church? This question is best answered by stating that all the *men are Laymen with the exception of the Pastor,

It is important to recognize that the distinctive contributions of Laymen to the program of the church can be made more effective through a consistent organized effort. It is therefore imperative that a combined effort by all of the men of the church become focused on the objectives of the church so that the desired outcomes are met.

In order to ensure that all men of New Mt. Zion are knowledgeable of the Laymen Ministry, it is necessary to implement an action plan to make them aware of this expectation.
